Never a web image stretched to fit. El Greco’s Agony in the Garden runs 32,015 × 47,508 pixels, and more than a hundred of our masters pass ten thousand on the long edge. Every work is sourced, licensed and cited.
Every sheet is Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 308 gsm, pure cotton, acid‑free, made in Lower Saxony. Not a house paper wearing a borrowed name. The paper itself.
Pigment rests on the sheet as ground mineral and carbon; dye soaks in and drifts toward amber. Our printer rates these prints at 100 to 200 years under good conditions.
Most shops flatten an altarpiece into one wide poster, hinges and all. We cut the panels as the painter made them, and size every sheet so the painted figures, not merely the paper, hang level.

Ask in your own words. Monstrance searches the Church’s own writing — the Catechisms, the Councils, the Fathers and the Doctors, and the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia — and answers from what it finds. Every source it relies on is cited, and every citation opens onto the passage itself, so the last word is never the app’s. When the sources are silent, it says so rather than guessing.
Our Doctrine Corpus contains 32 works and more than 47,000 passages, each weighed by its authority, from the definitions of the Councils to the commentaries of the saints.
The answers are written by the Concordance, software that composes from these texts; the texts are the authority. Each answer it writes carries its name. A reference, not a teacher. For your soul, see a priest.

Monstrance+ will be $8.99 a month or $59.99 a year, with a one-month trial, when subscriptions open at launch. The yearly plan is a 44% discount on twelve months at the monthly price. Founding Patrons can instead take it for life for $249, once: 500 seats, offered until Pentecost and not after, with a $59 Monstrance Editions print credit, 20% off every print and 30 composed answers a month from the Concordance. Seats open at Epiphany, and the Founding Patron list hears first. There is no launch date for the app to announce yet; that list will hear it first as well. Priests, deacons, seminarians and religious will receive Doctrine’s composed answers without charge: write to [email protected] from a parish, diocese or community address.

Shipping is included in the price to the eight countries we serve: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Australia, the Philippines and Mexico.
We replace it. Write to us within fourteen days of delivery with one photograph of the problem, and a replacement is made at no cost; you keep the original and send nothing back. Because every print is made for you, we cannot accept returns for a change of mind.
